At Riverside, we focus on equipping children with the essential skills for life,
nurturing them into well-rounded global citizens.
New experiences
We believe that a strong foundation in both academic and personal development is crucial for their future success. Through a variety of new experiences, both within the school and in the local and wider community, children are given opportunities to broaden their horizons. These experiences are designed to encourage curiosity, foster a sense of responsibility, and develop important life skills such as communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.
After School Clubs
Riverside’s Skills for Life program is an extra-curricular offer of many different activities that will help our students to develop their full potential in many aspects and fields. We aim to offer specialist instruction that follows children’s interests and encourages them to take calculated risks, building confidence and determination. We provide opportunities for them to explore new activities, discover their talents, and develop lifelong skills.
Trips
At Riverside Early Years, past trips have included visits to local parks and playgrounds, the zoo to discover wildlife, and the Agricultural Museum for hands-on learning experiences. A memorable visit to the fire station offered children an inspiring glimpse into the role of community helpers.
These outings have enriched learning, sparked curiosity, and created lasting memories. We continue to plan exciting trips that connect children to the world around them, fostering discovery and exploration.
Adventures
At Riverside Early Years, our adventures are designed to inspire confidence, resilience, and a love for exploration. Children delight in visits to the Pony Garden, where they connect with animals and nature, and indoor rock climbing sessions that build strength and determination. Swimming lessons help develop essential skills and boost water confidence, while our Reception class enjoys the unique experience of an annual skiing trip. These activities provide meaningful opportunities for growth, learning, and creating lasting memories.
